Why You Could Die While Having Sex & 5 People Who Have

 

Sex and death are two things that are rarely correlated with one another. However, death during consensual sex makes up for approximately 0.6% of sudden deaths.

It can happen for many different reasons. The most common is usually because of the physical strain that takes place or the unusual circumstances of the activity.

The euphemism “dying in the saddle,” is used for instances where people have died during sex.

Although uncommon, a few people have died from consensual sex:

1. Kristen Taylor, 27, died while having sex with her husband Toby. He got a pair of electric clamps and electrocuted her nipples, not something foreign to their sex lives. This time around, he shocked her for a few seconds longer than he should have and immediately sent her into cardiac arrest.
2. Nigerian man, Uroko Onoja had six wives. While spending some intimate time with his youngest wife, his five other jealous wives came demanding sex as well. Onoja could not fulfill their demands and ended up dying before his last wife got her turn.
3. A Zimbabwe woman decided it would be thrilling to have sex outdoors in the wild. They decided to have their extreme sex near the roaming grounds of lions and she was mauled to death. Her boyfriend survived by fleeing the scene.
4. A couple in Milwaukee were found dead in their car which was parked inside of a closed garage. Apparently, they were having sex inside of the car with the engine on and they died of carbon monoxide poisoning.
5. Matthew McConaughey’s father, James McConaughey was having sex with his wife Kay when he had a heart attack. His wife wrote a book in which she detailed the account. She wrote, “I knew that something was wrong because I didn’t hear anything from him. Just nothing. But it was just the best way to go!”
