Rhythm and Blues genius, Ne-Yo, has admitted that he is gay. “Bruce Jenner really gave me the inner strength to admit to my kids, my family, my friends, my fans and ultimately to myself that I am gay. I’ve known I was gay since I was a young boy that I was attracted to the other boys. As a black man, we fear gayness instead of embracing it. Watching Bruce, well Caitlyn, sit down with Dianne Sawyer on ABC really inspired me. Bruce is very brave and beautiful. As soon as he came out as transgendered, she freed herself and thats the freedom I want” says Ne-Yo.

fNe-Yo plans to sit down with the The Breakfast Club and do an interview with Charlamange Tha God, DJ Envy and Angela Yee to formally come out.
Ne-Yo was engaged to “Atlanta Exes” reality star, Monyetta Shaw, when he began secretly seeing a man. “I thought it was a phase, I thought I could surpress these gay emotions. The guy is also famous, but I’ll let him reveal himself when the time is right”. Shaw has admitted that though she believes the relationship would lead to marriage, she always had her suspicions.
Although Ne-Yo and Shaw were never married, the couple has two children. Ne-Yo also thought he fathered a child until a DNA test proved him not to be the biological father
