He has been hiding a secret for nearly 40 years and now it is
all coming out. Andrew Wardle the star of a new documentary on TLC, has a
medical condition he has not only been hiding from the outside world
but from his loved ones as well.
Andrew was born with bladder exstrophy, which means that his bladder
was formed on the outside of his
body, therefore leaving him without a penis. In a recent interview with PEOPLE Andrew said, “I was good at hiding it. But I knew when I became a teenager it was going to be a big problem.” At the age of one he had surgery to have his bladder inserted into his body. As a struggling teenager embarrassed about his condition Andrew turned to drugs. Now in his 40s he is ready to undergo surgery again, but this time to get a penis.

Through four different procedures Andrew will get muscles and skin
removed from his right arm in order to create a fully functioning penis.
As for Andrew’s girlfriend of three years, Fedra, well she has been by
his side every step of the way.
According to PEOPLE she did not know about his condition prior to dating, and after he came clean to her she eventually learned to accept it.
